Lydia Matioli, is a a child-protection advocate and survivor of child sexual assault. She created "Pendo’s Power," her first children’s book, to educate children about abuse and empower parents. Through her book, she aims to empower children to speak out against abuse and create a safer world.

Raised in Kibera, East Africa's largest slum, Lydia now works to end sexual violence as Freely in Hope’s Program & Partnerships Director. Through her book, she aims to empower children to speak out against abuse and create a safer world.
